SOCHI: The Russian government said on Thursday that it can guarantee the safety of people at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi which will officially start on February 7 and will run till February 23.
In a statement in Sochi on Thursday, the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said that Russia can guarantee safety at the Winter Olympics, stressing that the level of danger in Sochi is no greater than in many other cities and is like in Boston, in London.
Kozak further said that the Russian security services are working with colleagues from Europe and North America.
