KARACHI: The Sindh lawmakers during a session of the assembly on Monday announced their full support for the military operation against the militants in North Waziristan tribal region and declared the decision as timely.

The deputy speaker Shehla Raza appreciated the step of initiating operation against militants and said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take the nation into confidence in addressing the National Assembly.

The speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Ahmed Durrani expressed the confidence that the armed forces of the country will emerge victorious in the operation against terrorists in North Waziristan.

Talking to media in Karachi on Monday, he lauded the decision to launch operation.
