SIC announces protest demo against Peshawar blast

ISLAMABAD: The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Thursday strongly condemned the blast in Peshawar’s Tablighi markaz that left at least eight persons dead and announced that it would stage a protest demonstration after Friday prayer against the deadly attack.

At least eight persons were killed and 67 others injured in a blast at a Tablighi markaz on Pajaggi road in Peshawar when around a thousand people were gathered for a Shab-i-Juma (Thursday) congregation.

A resolution of condemnation against the bomb blasts in country will also be presented during the protests rally,” the SIC leader Allama Tahir Ashrafi said.
