ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the establishment of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) would enhance exports and trade activities besides boosting the tourism sector of the Country.

In a meeting with the Management of SIAL at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Wednesday, the president lauded the role of the SCCI in establishing the Country’s first private aviation facility, and said that the airport would facilitate exporters and entrepreneurs and would also help accelerate economic activities in the Country.SIAL - President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the establishment of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) would enhance exports and trade activities besides boosting tourism sector of the Country. The president that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the government provided financial stimulus package to mitigate the adverse impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the Country’s economy.  Dr. Arif Alvi also appreciated the contribution made by Sialkot’s business community in promoting education and providing health facilities at the grassroots level. The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan, the Secretary Aviation Shoukat Ali, the Chairman SIAL Mian Naeem Javed, and the Director General Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Flight Lieutenant (retd) Khaqan Murtaza.
