Terrorists bombed Shrine of Sufi saint Baba Shah Noorani in Khuzdar killing 47believers

Khuzdar, Balochistan: A Suicide bomber killed over 47 believers of Sufi saint Baba Shah Nurani (Noorani) in remote district of Khuzdar, Balochistan. Islamic State known as Daish (Daesh) has claimed responsibility bombing Shrine Sufi Saint Baba Shah Noorani.

   

While talking to Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency on telephone, a local resident Azmatullah confirmed that over 200 believers were present at Shrine of Baba Shah Nurani when a suicide bomber detonated him, killing at least 47 persons at spot. “Since there is no hospital in the area to handle such emergency, number of dead can increase”, feared Azmatullah.

Terrorism monitor organisation site terrorismmonitor dot organisation claims that Islamic State known as Daish has accepted the responsibility of this attack.


“Daish, Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Al-Harar and several other terrorist organisations busy in the region have links with Indian intelligence agency RAW”, claimed a former intelligence officer when asked to comment about involvement of Daish in this horrible terror attack on Sufi Islam followers.

He further said that almost all terrorist organisation belong to one school of thought of religion that is called purist Islamic school of thought and these organisations consider Sufi Islamist as infidels and are killing them in every part of the world. He claimed Daish, Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Al-Harar have been funding by RAW to ignite sectarian divide in Pakistan.

He said that blast took place when believers were busy celebrating a festival at Shrine.

It may be mentioned that nearest hospital is at least 150 kilometre away from the shrine where this blast took place.

Azmatullah said that believers were performing Dhamal— a  Sufi ritual when blast took place. He claimed that security agencies had information about possible blast in this event and recovered explosive today from two different places but terrorists at last managed their way and killed people. Purist Islamists consider Dhamal as an un-Islamic conduct and terrorists belong to purist school of religion had been targeting such events in past all over Pakistan. It may be mentioned that terrorist groups including Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Daesh are all belong to purist Islamic school of thought.

According to eye witnesses, rescue operation is being conducted in power generator electricity that is not enough to find injured persons.

Approach to this Shrine is very difficult as this shrine is situated at a hilltop and rescue teams are facing difficulties to bring injured persons back to ground and then to hospitals.

Meanwhile, authorities claimed that 30 persons were killed and dozens were injured in blast that took place on Saturday evening. Authorities maintained that dead bodies and injured persons have been shifted to the District hospital. Police officials claimed that the target of the attack was the area where believers would perform “Dhamal” – a trance-like dance.

Police sources claimed that security agencies had information that terrorists could attack this event of Dhamal because certain extremists groups had warned people in the area not to visit this Shrine and perform Dhamal.

Police official confirmed that the death toll is feared to rise as a large number of women and children were injured in the deadly blast that looked like a suicide bombing.

Television reports while citing Dr Hakeem Lassi of Edhi Foundation also confirmed that women and children are injured in the blast.

The Shrine of Shrine of Syed Sakhi Shah Bilawal Noorani known as Baba  Hazrat Baba Shah Noorani is most famous in Baluchistan where believers come from all over the country. Hazrat Baba Shah Noorani came in this area around 500 years ago and lived his whole life on a hilltop far away from human settlement.

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned this attack although this is considered as purist Islamic religious party.

 

President Mamnoon Hussian, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto have condemned this attack.

Chief of Pakistan Army Gen. Raheel Sharif ordered his force for maximum assistance of injured persons.

Pakistan claims that Indian Intelligence agency RAW and Afghan intelligence agency NDS are collaborating to destabilise Balochitsan which is the main route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It may be mentioned that one serving officer of Indian Army Yadev was arrested from Balochistan this year who confirmed that RAW was involved in terrorism in Pakistan.
