The Comedy Play ‘Akbar The Great Nahi Rahe’ (Akbar is no longer ‘The Great’) is coming to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to entertain audiences at the 14th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, taking place at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

Directed by Dr. M Sayyed Aalam, the 90-minute play has garnered numerous laughs and applause from audiences since its debut in India in 2019.

It features the debut of Pakistan’s young heartthrob Ahmed Shah and his brother Abu Bakr Shah with the Pierrot’s Troupe from India leading the way.

The satirical and humorous show will begin at 04:00 pm (Sharjah Local Time) at the Expo Centre Sharjah located in Al Khan Area on Sunday (May 07, 2023).Sharjah: Ticket Price of Comedy Play ‘Akbar The Great Nahi Rahe’

Tickets Information

The tickets for the show Akbar The Great Nahi Rahe can be purchased from Expo Centre or Online through Platinumlist.

The ticket price is Dh30 or US$ 8.42 (Tickets are final and 100% non-refundable).


The annual Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF 2023) was inaugurated by the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi on May 03.

The 12-day long festival is aimed at supporting Sharjah’s efforts to provide a comprehensive reading and creative environment that focuses on educating and refining the talents of children and youth.

It also targets families with diverse activities to partner in motivating their children to read and use books to learn, build values, and preserve their authentic identity.

The SCRF 2023 will provide children and families with an opportunity to pick up the latest titles in children’s literature from 93 Arab and 48 foreign publishers offering their latest works during the festival.
