LAHROE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif and PTI’s Mehmood ur Rasheed on Tuesday filed nomination papers for the election of Chief Minister Punjab.

Election of Punjab Chief Minister is to be held on Thursday.

Candidates for the slot of Chief Minister submitted their papers to Secretary Punjab Assembly today after which Speaker of the provincial assembly will scrutinize the papers.

Under the 18th constitutional amendment‚ it is necessary for the candidate of the chief ministership to secure majority votes.
