LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Super League (PSL) Najam Sethi on Saturday expressed the resolve to hold the Final of the T20 tournament in Lahore despite all hurdles.
Sources said that the PSL Chairman Najam Sethi in a statement said that foolproof security arrangements had been made for the PSL final scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 05. Sethi also asked the people to buy the tickets of the final online.
Sethi also expressed hoped that International teams would visit Pakistan in near future.
The PSL Chairman ruled out the connection between the recent wave of terror incidents across the Country and the PSL final.
Following a suicide blast which struck a protest rally on Lahore’s Mall road on February 13, concerns were once again raised with regard to the holding of PSL final in Lahore over security issues.
However, the PSL management and five franchisees met in Dubai on February 20 and decided to hold the much-desired final in Lahore.
Earlier on Friday, Najam Sethi also met the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore and discussed the possible initiatives to be taken for peaceful conduct of the final in the Provincial Capital.
“I just met CM Punjab. We are on track for PSL FINAL in Lahore. But we shall continue to monitor and review situation in the run-up,” Sethi told it in a twitter message.
