KARACHI: Separate cases of Essa Nagri and Patel Para blasts, that occurred yesterday, have been registered.At least five people were killed in both blasts.

Aziz Bhatti Police registered First Inspection Report (FIR) 326/2013 under Explosives Act and Anti-Terrorism Act against unidentified attackers on the complaint of driver Haroon who was himself badly injured in Essa Nagri bombing.

Another FIR No. 255/2013 of Patel Parra bombing was registered in Jamshed Town Police Station against Imran, arrested from the spot, and three others.

In Essa Nagri blast, Municipal Commissioer Matanat Ali was targeted. He received injuries and shifted to hospital.

In another blast, that took place in a house situated in Patel Para area of the city, three people were killed. Reports said that the victims were making a bomb and died when it exploded.
