ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Senate was told that approximately 1.15 million illegal foreigners are still in the Country and continuous mapping is being done to identify and repatriate them.

Replying to a question by Senator Mohsin Aziz, the Minister for Interior told the House in writing submitted on Tuesday, approximately 1.7 million illegal foreigners have been living in the Country illegally, predominant majority of which are Afghans.1.15 million illegal foreigners are still in Pakistan, Senate told

The House was told that these foreigners are living in the Country without any valid legal documents authorizing their stay in the Country.

It was apprised that 541,210 have been repatriated ever since the Cabinet approved the Illegal Foreigners’ Repatriation Plan.

Out of this, 271,985 foreigners have been repatriated through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while 159, 161 have been repatriated through Balochistan.

The Senate was also told that 110,064 foreigners have also left the Country as recorded by other systems (IBMS) etc.
