Senate condemns Israeli brutalities in Gaza

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Senate on Friday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the Israeli brutalities against innocent Palestinians and demanding end to blockade of Gaza and killings of men, women and children.

The resolution moved by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Mian Raza Rabbani said that Israel is committing genocide of the Palestinian people and flagrant violation of Geneva Convention and international human rights.

The leader of the house in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq supported the resolution and said that Pakistan has been making all out efforts to highlight Israeli aggression. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the first Muslim leader, who condemned Israeli brutalities.

Nearly 1,900 Palestinians including more than 400 children have been killed while over 9,500 others have sustained injuries since July 8 when Israel launched military attacks against the Gaza strip.
