Security forces kill five militants as part of Khyber-1

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The security forces killed at least five militants and injured 10 others when they targeted militant hideouts in Bara tehsil of the Khyber tribal region on Friday.

The official sources said that the security forces targeted hideouts of the militants in the Akakhel and Sipah areas of Bara tehsil.

It was part of the operation ‘Khyber-1’ which was launched by the Pakistan army last month to eliminate terrorists.

Meanwhile, a full-fledged military operation Zarb-e-Azb has also been continuing in the tribal areas since it was launched on June 15 against the militants.
