RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Security Forces killed two terrorists in an exchange of fire in North Waziristan on Sunday; however, two Soldiers also embraced martyrdom, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement on Monday, the ISPR said that on February 26, 2023, a fire exchange took place between terrorists and own troops in Spinwam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district.

The ISPR said that own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.

Resultantly, two terrorists got killed while two terrorists were apprehended.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens.

However, during the intense exchange of fire with terrorists, Sepoy lmran Ullah (age 25 years, resident of District Bajaur) and Sepoy Afzal Khan (age 21 years, resident of District Upper Dir) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.

The ISPR said that the sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

It said that Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
