RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The security forces killed 11 terrorists in an intelligence based operation conducted in response to the recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district that claimed the lives of seven brave soldiers.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the security forces launched the operation in Lakki Marwat district on night 10/11 June 2024 to bring the perpetrators of the heinous act to justice.

The ISPR said that during conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as result of which 11 terrorists were successfully neutralized & sent to hell while multiple terrorist hideouts were also busted.

It said that the sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the Country.

It’s worth mentioning that on June 9, an IED device exploded on vehicle of the security forces in Lakki Marwat, leaving Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali, Sepoy Asad Ullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood martyred.
