KARACHI, Pakistan: The Sindh government under the guidance of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has initiated a project of installation of Security Surveillance Cameras at Worship places of minorities at the cost of 400 million, to ensure more focused approach towards issues relating to minority communities in Sindh and to protect their rights.    

These views were expressed by Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan while talking to delegation of minority community at his office here, said a statement on Thursday.

   

Dr. Jeewan has said that this project will greatly enhance the level of security at places of worship and protect the rights of our minorities.

He further informed that this project is in line with E-Governance initiative and IT Road Map 2015-2010 of IST Department which envisages use of technology to improve public services and reduce the services delivery costs.

Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan has said that the project involves establishment of a modern hi-tech surveillance and monitoring system at each place of worship using multiple video cameras installed at strategic locations around the place of worship.

He further elaborated that all video cameras will be cable connected to a central room located in a back office on the premises away from monitored areas. It will also contain video monitoring and recording equipment.
