SC says protesters can’t be allowed to occupy state property

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) protesters cannot be allowed to occupy state property.

A five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk resumed the hearing of any possible extra-constitutional steps in Islamabad on Wednesday.

During the hearing, Justice Saqib Nisar said that the protesting parties cannot block roads and the avenues.

Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan demanded the apex court for evacuation of lawns of the parliament from the protesters.
