Saudi Arabia will give Pakistan 100 million Saudi Riyals for the rehabilitation of the quake affected people in Pakistan.

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia will give Pakistan 100 million Saudi Riyals for the rehabilitation of the quake affected people.

An agreement was signed in this regard between the federal minister finance Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart Ibrahim Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah in Jeddah on Friday. After the agreement, the Saudi Relief package for the quake affected people in Pakistan will reach 600 million Saudi Riyals.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed export of Saudi fertilizer to Pakistan and Neelum-Jhelum project. They also discussed the Saudi financial cooperation with Pakistan in different new projects.

The finance minister apprised his Saudi counterpart that 50,0000 people have been affected as a result of the military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan.

Ishaq Dar said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has constituted a fund for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) who are migrating to Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan in large number.
