Roadside blast in Jamrud injures two

JAMRUD: Two persons were injured when a NATO container transporting goods for Afghanistan-based NATO forces was targeted with a roadside bomb on Monday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 17 September, 2012.

Militants had planted an explosive device on the roadside in Shagai in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency to target the vehicles supplying goods to NATO forces, police officials said.

The explosion was triggered with a remote control when the container was passing through the area and injuring the driver Nazar Muhammad and his helper Gul Muhammad. They were brought to the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar where the condition of the driver was stated to be critical.
