RAWALPINDI: A college professor was gunned down by some unknown persons in Rawalpindi on Wednesday morning, police said.
Police said that Professor Umrani, serving in Rawalpindi’s Hashmat Ali College, was killed when some unknown motorbike riding armed persons opened fire on him near his residence on Faruque road in Rawalpindi.
Following his killing, students enraged over the brutal killing began protesting and voiced slogans. Meanwhile, security officials arrived at the scene and an investigation went underway.
