PML-N restricted from holding rally beyond Zero Point

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday directed the police that no Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) rally should be allowed to enter beyond Zero Point in Islamabad.

His directions came to avoid any collusion as thousands of supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have already been staging sit-ins in Islamabad’s red zone area against the incumbent government.

The interior minister directed the police to take special security measure for the PML-N rallies in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and surround areas to avoid any untoward incident.

The minister directed that the police of both districts must make it sure that the rallies of the PML-N and the PTI take different routes. He directed that on the routes of PML-N rallies, heavy contingents of police must be deployed on the offices of the PTI and the PAT.

Nisar also advised the police of both districts to be vigilant and active in order to avoid any possible threat of terrorism.
