PM seeks unity among political parties to solve issues

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday urged the political parties to come on the same page for the resolution of all the political issues.

The premier made these remarks in a meeting with a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders including Deputy Chief Professor Khurshid Ahmed and Secretary General Liaqat Baloch in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues pertaining to national interests and security.

The prime minister said that the government is utilizing all its resources to protect people and defend the country. He expressed the hope that the issue of terrorism will be solved through talks.

The JI delegation lauded the government’s steps to form a four-member committee for talks with the Taliban.
