PM Nawaz vows to eliminate terrorism at all costs

QUETTA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday expressed resolve of the government to eliminate terrorism from the country at all costs, adding that culprits involved in heinous crimes like attacks on buses will be brought to justice.

The premier made these remarks in his address to the elected representatives of Balochistan in Quetta on Thursday.

Sharif said that arrangements are being made to introduce air and ferry services for the zaireen. He said that Pakistan international airline (PIA) will also start special flights for the zaireen.

The prime minister said that the government is working to address problems relating to agriculture‚ energy and law and order. He said that communication projects worth Rs 8 billion are being launched in Balochistan.

In addition, he said that the province will take 90 percent benefit of the Kashgar-Gwadar corridor which will create jobs and end sense of deprivation of the Balochistan people.

Earlier, the prime minister visited the Army’s Southern Command Headquarters in Quetta, where he was briefed by Commander Southern Command Lt. General Nasir Janjua about the latest situation in Balochistan.PM Nawaz vows to eliminate terrorism at all costs

On the occasion, the premier called upon the political and military leadership to formulate a joint strategy to improve law and order situation in Balochistan.

The prime minister said that the law-enforcement agencies had played an appreciable role to beat the crime in the province.

During his one-day visit to Quetta, Sharif laid a wreath on the martyrs monument in Quetta and paid great homage to them for sacrificing their lives for the supreme cause.

The prime minister also laid the foundation stone of four highway projects in Quetta which include M-8 motorway linking Gwadar‚ Turbat and Hoshab‚ N-50 between Qila Saifullah and Zhob‚ N-25 linking Qalat‚ Quetta and Chaman‚ and N-85 between Sorab and Hoshab.
