ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz left for London today on a three-day visit to attend the 9th World Islamic Economic Forum beginning there from tomorrow.
Leaders and representatives of some 115 countries will attend the three-day event.
This year’s theme “Changing World‚ New Relationships” will encapsulate the emergence of new economic linkages between nations across borders‚ religions and cultures in a fast changing world. The forum will address a number of economic issues.
The prime minister will address the opening session of the economic forum on October 29 and apprise the forum of his government’s priorities particularly in the economic field.
Sharif will also share the steps it was taking to create business and investment opportunities and will discuss matters relating to fostering greater economic cooperation and collaboration amongst Muslim countries and with the rest of the world.
On the sideline of the forum‚ the Prime Minister will also meet heads of state and government of different Islamic countries to discuss bilateral affairs and regional and international situation.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend a trilateral meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
