Petrol Pumps across Punjab Refused to provide Fuel

Petrol pumps closed down in all major cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore

All filling stations of gasoline and diesel have been closed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore apparently stopping people to attend Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) of Dr. Tahirul Qadri.

Our Islamabad correspondent said that Petrol pump were giving only 10 litres to 1000cc cars, 5 litres to 800cc cars and 2 litres to motorcycles till 2300 hours evening and then closed down fuel stations. While in Rawalpindi, fuel stations were closed down at 2200 hours.

It has been reported that petrol pumps have refused to provide fuel across Punjab. Most of the fuel pumps have been labeled as out of fuel due to shortage. Still its not clear if its shortage or tactics to stop Awami Threek and PTI from marching towards Islamabad.

At the moment there is no  fuel pump on Ferozpur Road Lahore which is providing fuel and same is the situation on Muree Road Rawalpindi. No official statement has been released by PSO or Government of Pakistan regarding Fuel Shortage.
