Pakistan wants greater cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in different fields: President

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan wants greater cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in different fields including education, trade, culture, and defence.

“Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Kyrgyzstan,” the president said while was talking to the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Adbyldeav Erlan Bakeshovich in Islamabad on Thursday.

The president said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan will have to make joint efforts for regional development.

President Mamnoon said that both the countries have great potential to promote economic cooperation in private and public sectors.

The president expressed satisfaction over the progress on the 1000 Electricity Transmission and Trade Project for Central Asia and South Asia (CASA).

On the occasion, the Kyrgyz foreign minister hoped that bilateral ties between the two countries will be further strengthened in times to come.

Earlier in the day, the Kyrgyz foreign minister accompanied by senior officials arrived in Islamabad on the invitation of the prime minister’s advisor on national security and foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz.

The Kyrgyz foreign minister will also hold delegation level talks with the advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz.
