Pakistan, Sudan reaffirm resolve to boost bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The ambassador of Sudan in Pakistan Alshafie Ahmed Mohamed paid a farewell call on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Monday and discussed bilateral ties between Pakistan and Sudan as well as regional situation.

During the meeting, the president reiterated the government’s resolve to boost bilateral relations with Sudan in all sectors particularly in trade, economic and defence fields.

The president said that both countries should continue exploring mutual avenues for future cooperation to increase volume of trade between the two countries.

President Mamnoon expressed the hope that proposed third round of Pak-Sudan Joint Ministerial Commission would be held early next year, which would further enhance bilateral economic cooperation.

Mamnoon Hussain noted with appreciation that the both countries have extended support to each other at various regional and international forums. He also expressed commitment for furthering bilateral collaboration in diverse fields to the mutual benefits of the people of both countries.
