Pakistan reaffirms support to peace, reconciliation in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday reaffirmed its continuing support to peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.

A meeting was held in Islamabad on Tuesday between the prime minister’s advisor on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz and the Afghan new ambassador to Pakistan Janan Mosazai.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state of relations between the two countries along with ways to strengthen ties in all areas of common interest.

The need for enhanced people-to-people contacts and regular interaction at the official level was emphasized with a view to strengthening mutual trust and confidence.
