Pakistan, Indonesia discuss measures to further expand defence cooperation

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif held a meeting with the Commander in Chief Indonesian Defence Forces General Moeldoko on Thursday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

During the meeting, the discussions focused on regional security issues, bilateral military relationship between armies of two countries and measures to further expand defence cooperation.

The two dignitaries also discussed ways to mutually benefit from each other’s expertise in the field of counter terrorism.

The COAS is on a three-day official visit to Indonesia on the special invitation of the Indonesian Defence Authorities.
