KARACHI, Pakistan: More than 150 people including women and children have died due to heatwave during the last two days in Karachi which saw temperatures as high as 43 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the deaths caused by severe heat in Karachi.

Earlier on Sunday, the Met Office forecast widespread rain-thundershower with dust storm in upper parts of the country including Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir for next four to five days.

In a statement, the Director General of Pakistan Meteorological Department Dr Ghulam Rasool said that this weather pattern will gradually move towards the south and bring moderate rain in Sindh and Balochistan from Tuesday to Friday.
