ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday constituted a three-judge special court that will take up treason charges against former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf for suspending the constitution while proclaiming the state of emergency on November 3, 2007.

The three-member bench of the special court will be headed by the Sindh High Court judge Justice Faisal Arab, while Justice Tahira Safdar of the Balochistan High Court and Justice Yawar Ali of the Lahore High Court are the other two judges on the bench.
