KARACHI: The Sindh government on Thursday cancelled licenses of as many as 46 arms dealers in Karachi over their failure to submit details and record of selling various types of arms and bullets.

The sources said that the Sindh home department had sought details and record about arms and ammunition that was sold by around 120 dealers operating in Karachi.

However, 46 arms dealers did not submit details and record of selling various types of arms and bullets. Subsequently, the provincial home department cancelled their licenses with immediate effect.

It may be mentioned here that the targeted operation and deweaponisation drive are continuing relentlessly in Karachi by the provincial government aiming to restore peace in the metropolis. Rangers and police are arresting criminals and recovering weapons on daily basis.
