MURREE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Afghan President Hamid Karzai held one-to-one meeting at a hill resort near Islamabad, Murree, on Tuesday and exchanged views on bilateral issues besides discussing regional situation with particular focus on post-NATO troops withdrawal from Afghanistan next year.

Both sides also discussed border situation and possible cooperation in war against terrorism.

The Afghan President requested Pakistani government to assist in ongoing reconciliation process in Afghanistan to bring peace and stability in the country.

Later, Karzai attended a lunch hosted in his honor by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

It is pertinent to mention that the Afghan President arrived in Pakistan on Monday but extended his visit for a day on the request of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
