PoliticsImran demands reduction in electricity prices

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday demanded the federal government to reduce electricity prices, adding that rise in the price of electricity will increase power theft.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday afternoon, the PTI chief said that revenues of Rs300 billion can be collected by bringing the 3 million tax evaders into tax net.

The PTI chief said the government was increasing burden on masses instead of halting tax theft.

Imran Khan alleged that the appointment of Qamar Zaman Chaudhary as  Chairman National Accountability Bureau was the result of a deal between the government and Pakistan Peoples Party.

Khan further said his party will introduce a bill in the National Assembly to adopt simplicity. He demanded of the government to convert all the governor houses into hotels, museums and libraries.
