LAHORE: The special advisor to the prime minister on national affairs Irfan Siddiqui said on Thursday that at present the government is scrutinizing the lists of the Taliban captives for their possible release, and cautioned that the wish for peace may not be taken non-seriously.
Talking to media representatives after inaugurating a three-day books exhibition in Lahore on Thursday, the advisor said that the dialogue process between the government and the Taliban is moving forward though the process is slow. However, he added, there is no deadlock.
Siddiqui said that neither specific area has been allocated for peace zone nor the government has any intention to do so.
