ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday suspended membership of 26 parliamentarians including Pakistan People Party’s (PPP) Faisal Raza Abidi and Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Mustafa Kamal for their failure to submit asset details.

Those lawmakers who failed to meet the commission’s deadline to submit asset details and were forced to face disqualification include three MNAs, two senators, four MPAs from Punjab, nine from Sindh, seven from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one from Balochistan.

According to the ECP, these members won’t be able to get their salaries and other privileges until their restoration.
