Dutch government refused to involve UN in investigations of MH17 tragedy

Monitoring Desk: The Reuter News agency on Tuesday reported that Dutch authorities have reportedly refused to hand over the investigation into the MH17 plane crash to the United Nations. It may be mentioned that there were reports in past in Ukraine media that Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and Ukraine have a secrete contract that investigations of MH17 shall not be disclosed or shared with anybody.

It may be mentioned that the request was filed by a law firm on behalf of 20 relatives of dead passengers of MH17 to handover investigations to UN.

Right now a Dutch investigation team, is conducting investigations of MH17 crash but no information are being shared with national or international media as under a secrete contract that came on surface during August 2014 that Dutch, Ukraine and Malaysian governments had a contract that information about investigations would not be shared with media without the permission of all three countries. However such contract was categorically refused by Dutch government officially.

It may be mentioned that majority of killed passengers of MH17 was Dutch nationals. While MH17 belonged to Malaysian airline and it was crashed in Eastern Ukraine. Malaysia is out as main partner of any inquiry due to reasons best known to Malaysian government.
