Cyclone Nilofar moving towards coastal areas of lower Sindh

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Cyclone Nilofar which is presently located about 730 kilometer south-west of Karachi is moving towards the Indian Coast and coastal areas of lower Sindh, Radio Pakistan reported.

The cyclone’s landfall may occur by Saturday and its strength may weaken as the system comes closer to coastal areas of Pakistan and India.

The cyclone may cause widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy/very heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds in lower Sindh and coastal areas of Balochistan.

The sea conditions along Pakistan coast would be rough to very rough from today to Friday.

The fishermen in Sindh and Balochistan have been warned not to venture into open sea and those already in the open sea should return to coast immediately.
