Corps commanders conference underway in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Corps Commanders Conference began at the army’s General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday to discuss important matters related to internal security and military operational matters.

The meeting presided over by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif is also discussing matters pertaining to the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in the North Waziristan tribal region.

The conference comes two days after the national security conference was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and attended by the military leadership and heads of parliamentary parties.
