Budget 2015-16: Federal govt announces soft loans for 3,00,000 farmers

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government will give soft loans to about 3,00,000 farmers under the credit guarantee scheme as it announced more incentives for agriculture sector in the budget 2015-16 to boost agriculture product in the country.

The announcement was made by the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar when he announced a growth and development oriented federal budget with a total outlay of Rs4,313 billion for the next financial year in the National Assembly in Islamabad on Thursday.

The finance minister also announced to launch prime minister’s health insurance scheme at a cost of Rs9 billion to provide insurance to the patients suffering from serious and contagious diseases. He said that all-out efforts have been made to save the poor from new taxes and measures will be taken to bring the rich in the tax net.

Moreover, he also announced several tax relief measures to promote corporate culture and documentation of economy. He announced various steps to give incentives to exporters for giving a boost to the exports in the coming years.
