Birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam being celebrated

KARACHI: The Pakistani nation is celebrating the 137th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the man who laid the foundations of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on Wednesday.

The day began with special prayers and Quran Khwani at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi.

A change of guard ceremony was held in Karachi where a fresh contingent of cadets from the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul took over the guard duty at the Quaid’s mausoleum.

This was followed by the laying of floral wreaths by representatives of the armed services.

Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. They offered fateha and placed floral wreath at the Mazar.

People from various walks of life are also visiting the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to pay tribute to the father of the nation.

Special ceremonies are being held across the country to shed light on the Quaid’s struggle for the creation of Pakistan and to highlight his guiding principles of unity, faith and discipline.
