Aziz leaves for London to participate in second review of Pak-UK enhanced strategic dialogue

ISLAMABAD: The prime minister’s advisor on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz left on Tuesday for the United Kingdom to participate in the second review of the Pakistan-UK enhanced strategic dialogue being held in London on March 12-13.

In a statement the Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that during his visit‚ the prime minister’s advisor will hold meetings with British Foreign Secretary William J. Hague and other leaders in London to discuss various issues concerning the strategic dialogue.

The Pakistan-UK enhanced strategic dialogue, which encompasses five areas of trade and business relations; financial and development cooperation; education and health; defence, security and cultural cooperation, is scheduled to take place in London next month. The prime ministers of both the countries will also participate in the dialogue.

The advisor will also participate in the commonwealth ministerial action group meeting on March 14, 2014.
