Jakarta: Indonesia has accepted Singapore offer to assist in AirAsia QZ8501 search operation while United States may also offer AirAsia QZ8501 search operation help because White House is following the development constantly. Meanwhile QZ8501 manifest confirms 154 adult passengers and 1 child was on board when flight disappeared.
It may be mentioned that AirAsia flight number QZ8501 with 162 people including 155 passengers onboard lost its control with Air tower after taking “unusual route.” Indonesian transport officials confirmed that Airbus A320-200 left Indonesian city of Surabaya for Singapore and lost contact with air traffic control at 6:17 a.m. local time (23:17 GMT on Saturday). “Flight lost contact with Jakarta air traffic control, confirmed Transport Ministry spokesman Hadi Mustofa who further mentioned that the contact was lost at after the crew asked for an “unusual route.” The flight was due to land in Singapore at 8:30 a.m. local time (00:30 GMT) and was listed as “delayed” but AirAsia confirmed the plane has gone missing in a statement when there was no contact from crew for next 3 hours. AirAsia statement said:
“At the present time we unfortunately have no further information regarding the status of the passengers and crew members on board, but we will keep all parties informed as more information becomes available. Search and rescue operations are in progress and AirAsia is cooperating fully and assisting the rescue service.”
An Emergency Call Center with the number +622129850801 has been established for family and friends of those who may have been on board the flight. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore said that services have been “activated” to help Indonesia search for the missing flight.
Year 2014 can be considered as worst year regarding air crashes as MH370 is still lost with all passengers on board while MH17 was a greatest air crash disaster in Eastern Europe.
