RAWALPINDI: The accountability court in Rawalpindi on Friday reopened five references against former President and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari, and issued a notice to the Prosecutor General of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The references against Zardari had been deferred as he enjoyed immunity during his tenure as the President of Pakistan.

The court had earlier released several of the co-accused in the references against Asif Ali Zardari.
