Letter To Editor by Ahmed Raza

14 August has a lot to do with the history of Pakistan. Pakistan came into being on 14 August 1947 and was considered to be a democratic state, howsoever we have been facing military coups every now and then except the last democratic government of Pakistan People’s Party. PPP’s tenure of 2008 – 2013 was the only democratic tenure which lasted full constitutional age in the history of Pakistan.

This current Government of Pakistan (PMLN) announced to celebrate the independence from 1st August to 14th August but there are some elements in Pakistan which are trying their best to derail the democratic government which was formed with vast majority of votes. Pakistan Threek -I – Insaaf announced Azaadi March on 14 of August because after one and half year they have realized that elections weren’t fair. Ok! I accept the fact that IK as been crying about the election rigging since the last elections but never announced any Azzadi March that time and i dont get  Why he is so curious for Azaadi March, just to prove that elections were rigged? MR IK should have Sports Man Spirit of accepting the defeat 🙂

In his last public statement, IK said that during the elections Pakistan was going through tough and rigid circumstances so he kept himself quiet and waited for the right time to speak. Again I dont get that what was wrong with Pakistan’s circumstances during the elections? How ever now Pakistan is in state of war with all the terrorist outfits and Pakistan Army is engaged in one of their biggest operation Zarb e Azb. Why now MR Imran Khan?

On the other hand we have this guy shortly named TUQ abbreviated from Tahir Ul Qadri who is a Canadian national and wants to bring revolution in Pakistan. Oh wait! Are we in state of civil war or something is messed up within Pakistan or we dont have a government ? I guess Mr TUQ thinks that revolution is just like popping kernal pops in the microwave?  MR Tuq wants to break the democratic government and what he will come up with ? Will he make Pakistan a Caliphate State just like ISIS in Iraq? We all know that Pakistan is going through tough time so we should respect the current government and let them continue till next elections.

I know my letter to editor doesn’t make sense but for them it will make sense who knows whats going in the world right now. I will summarize this letter by saying that we should recall what happened in Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Libya etc. All these states were messed up on the name of bringing Democracy. On the name of Democracy they teared down the democratic or social government and now we all know whats going on there.

Note: I am not a supporter from PMLN!!!!
