ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Spillways of Rawal Dam will be opened at 1:00 pm on Saturday as the water level in the dam has risen following last night’s heavy rains.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said that due to the heavy rain last night, the water level in Rawal Dam has risen, and the spillways will be opened today at 1 pm.

Irfan Nawaz Memon advised the citizens to avoid going near streams and waterways. He also said that residents of low-lying areas should move their livestock to safe locations in time.

“In case of any emergency, immediately contact 1122 or 16,” he asked the residents of Twin Cities.
