Rangers open fire on couple in Karachi; husband killed, wife injured

KARACHI: A couple was fighting on a road near Nagan Chowrangi in Karachi on Friday but the Rangers personnel took it as a kidnapping attempt and opened fire that left the husband dead while his wife received injuries.

Following the incident, the enraged local people took to the streets and pelted the police and Rangers with stones in protest against the firing. Moreover, business activities also came to a grinding halt after the incident.
