ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain has said Pakistan is a peaceful country and believes in resolution of all outstanding issues with the neighbours through dialogue.

Talking to newsmen during a visit to flood-affected areas in Tehsil Sharqpur‚ he said our desire for peace should not be construed as weakness‚ as Pakistan has the capability to respond to any aggression.

   

Earlier‚ talking to flood affectees the Minister said the government would not leave the flood victims in a lurch and continue to support the calamity-hit people till their rehabilitation.

He said the government would compensate the losses through a comprehensive survey after the flood waters recede.
