ISLAMABAD: Heavy rainfall in Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat and other areas turned the weather pleasant as heat spell died down.

Meteorological Department has predicted more intermittent showers in several parts of the country.

Rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Upper KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad and upper Punjab, whereas hot and dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

During next 24 hours, scattered dust-storm with isolated rain-thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
