Qadri's threats may endanger democratic system, says Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has expressed his concern over speech of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri, saying that his threats of violence may endanger democratic system.

In a statement, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader questioned as to who would be responsible if anarchy spreads in the country as a result of Qadri’s provocations in his speech on Yaum-e-Shuhada (martyrs day).

The opposition leader said that only those parties which are inciting people to violence would be held accountable, if democratic system derails.
