Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in their third match of ICC World Cup 2019 at Bristol on Friday.

The last victory against mighty England side at Nottingham boosted Pakistan’s confidence, and halted the latter’s 11-match long losing streak.
Like Pakistan, Sri Lanka also lost their opener against New Zealand at Cardiff but then bounced back and out powered Afghanistan.

Therefore, both Sri Lanka and Pakistan have won one match each but yet standing at seventh and eight number at the Points Table respectively.
In historical perspective, Pakistan have so far remained unbeaten against Sri Lanka in ICC World Cups. The two sides played seven matches against each other in all mega events but all of them were won by Pakistan.
In addition to that, Pakistan have won six previous ODIs against Sri Lanka in a row.
Overall, out of 153 ODIs between them from 1975 to 2017, Pakistan won 90 matches whereas Sri Lanka clinched triumph in 58. One of them was tied and four ended without any result.
However all the excitement for Pakistan-Sri Lanka battle may vanish quickly as there is a rain forecast in Bristol today. If rain doesn’t allow the match go underway or affects most parts of the game, the two teams will share one point each.
